A Life Ends...

My heart today-
Wept with the feeling,
That cry for a meagre meal,
Hunger, sorrow, pain
A realization of how it feels...

Adversity teaches
And it is the greatest teacher,
A feeling that's real
And far realistic than any feeling other...
Struggling for a grain of rice,
A piece of cloth to cover,
Cruel winds broke away our walls
Took with it our roof
Of a home that was...

Sorrow but no one to see,
Tears that itself dry on cheeks,
Pain but no one to heal,
Our cries who would heed?

Every sound now infuriates,
Every hope is darkness,
Every moment this pain increases,
I hope that's how
A life ends...

In Search of Peace

Desperate to end her life,
Words failed to stop her,
Tired of waking up to woes every morning,
Today found strength to walk aside...

Once betrayed in love,
Faith played an ugly game with her,
A family that treated her to worst-
She a single mother...

Alone she struggled,
To meet the both ends' need,
To keep the house warm,
And to send the children school

Her scars which she always tried to hide
Today became so obvious in her closed eyes...

All she wanted was peace,
In her family, in her life,
And today as she lies in her eternal sleep
Her children vying innocently for her open eyes,
Did she get what she wanted...
Peace?
